The principle of Crime Has No Gender is evident in a disturbing incident that recently occurred in Uttar Pradesh. A female adult has been taken into custody and charged with fratricide after her brother caught her engaging in sexual activity with her boyfriend.
This event took place in Rae Bareli.
Case:
As reported by TOI, a 12-year-old male juvenile purportedly discovered his 18-year-old sister and her significant other engaging in an inappropriate act and issued a warning to reveal the occurrence to their parents. In retaliation, the couple utilized a sickle to murder the juvenile by slitting his throat. The juvenile’s body was subsequently discovered close to his residence in the Bhadokhar region of the district on February 12.
Both the female adult and her boyfriend have been detained and taken into custody as of Wednesday.
Statement By Police
TOI was informed by the Superintendent of Police, Ashok Priyadarshi, of Rae Bareli.
As the boy’s parents had gone to attend a wedding, local residents informed the police about the murder. His sister did not give a satisfactory reply to our queries during the investigation.
Adding further, the SP said,
When a woman police officer was asked to question her, she alleged that a local youth had made a robbery bid at her house. She claimed that when the youth failed to get money, he attacked them and killed her brother.
Upon investigation, the aforementioned youth was apprehended by law enforcement officials following identification by the victim. However, subsequent interrogation revealed that the individual was present in Lucknow at the time of the alleged offense, as verified by the geolocation data of his mobile device. The Senior House Officer (SHO) of Bhadokhar, Rajesh Singh, attested to this fact.
We again questioned the sister who narrated a different version and the mobile phones active near the spot were checked.
Another officer shared,
We zeroed in on two numbers, both of which were issued to another youth, who we found used to visit the woman regularly.
A law enforcement team, comprising of cyber and forensic specialists, conducted a thorough search of the residence, resulting in the discovery of a sickle wrapped in a blood-soaked cloth and a cellular phone. Upon further questioning of the sister regarding the aforementioned items, she admitted to her culpability.
