FIR will be filed against the son of Max Group founder as per the direction of the Delhi court for entering into a fake marriage with woman

The Delhi court has directed the registration of an FIR against Veer Singh, the son of the founder of Max Group, for allegedly performing a fake marriage with a woman to engage in sexual relations with her. The court deemed that neglecting the woman’s claims against Veer Singh would allow other promiscuous men to violate the law and take advantage of women’s independence with utter audacity. The judge at Saket Court annulled the metropolitan magistrate’s ruling, emphasizing that such an offense to a woman’s self-respect cannot be disregarded.

Veer Singh has been accused of deceiving a woman into believing that they were legally married in 2018, which allowed him to engage in sexual activity with her and resulted in the birth of their child. The woman has alleged that Singh and his family arranged a Buddhist marriage ceremony in Taiwan with the intention of later disowning it, and that Singh abandoned her in 2020. Additionally, she has accused Singh of monitoring her movements without her consent.

Singh’s legal representative argued that he never intended to marry the woman, and that this was conveyed to her through email communications.

After reviewing the evidence, the court determined that sexual activity had taken place based on the mistaken belief that the couple was legally married.

The judge found evidence in the record indicating that a ceremony had taken place between the parties in Taiwan, as well as post-wedding functions. This led the judge to believe that the woman had been induced to believe that she was lawfully married to Veer Singh, which in turn led her to cohabit and have sexual intercourse with him. The court also examined Facebook posts and determined that they further supported the woman’s belief that she was married to Singh.

The court also expressed concern about the woman’s claims that she was recorded without her knowledge while changing and breastfeeding her child in her own home. The court considered these allegations to be highly inappropriate and disturbing, and recommended that they be investigated by the police. The court emphasized that such behavior violates a woman’s sense of security and privacy in her own home.

The court noted that the allegations made by the woman depicted her as a helpless victim, and it was necessary for the sake of justice to investigate the offenses she claimed to have suffered. However, the court found no justification to include Singh’s other family members in the case, as there was no evidence to support allegations of conspiracy against them.
