High Court said that a husband would not stay quiet about such conduct of his wife. It added that such action will bring disrepute to the family and will negatively affect her relationship with her husband. The prosecution had put allegations against the husband and the in-laws for torturing the wife for the extra-marital affair.
Court noted that the allegations of an illicit relationship of the wife were proven. Court mentioned that it would have been an offence only if there was instigation, done by the accuses and that would have forced the wife to have committed suicide.
The court held the accused not guilty.
