In the jurisdiction of the Anandapur police station in Kolkata, the lifeless body of Alam Hossain (29), a resident of Tiljala, has been discovered. Allegations of culpability for his demise have been raised by his sister, implicating his wife, Gudiya Bibi (26), and four other individuals, one of whom is a minor. The incident transpired on Khalpar Road in proximity to Gulshan Colony.
The complainant, Ruksana Khatoon, the deceased’s sister, formally complained to law enforcement. According to Ruksana, Hossain visited his in-laws on December 17. On the subsequent Monday night, he was transported to CNMC Hospital in a severely injured state via an e-rickshaw.
Hossain, who was engaged in the management of a sandal production unit, had previously undergone a separation from his wife, with whom he shared parental responsibilities for three children. In response to Gudiya’s account, she asserted that Hossain had assaulted her with a blade on Monday, prompting her family to act in self-defense, as delineated by law enforcement authorities. Subsequently, the police have taken the implicated individuals into custody for further investigation.
