Supreme Court had imposed a fixed timeline of 6 months for the disposal of the case.
The High Court stated that the wife lied to the court. She wanted to obtain a favourable order for herself. The wife had filed a writ against the family court. The family court had rejected her contention for holding more reconciliation sessions. The family court was following the timeline issued by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court transferred this case from the Jaipur family court to the Jharsaguda family court.
The wife had alleged that she had attempted reconciliations, but the family court took it for granted. On it, the husband put before the court that the wife had deliberately hidden the six months timeline fixed by the Supreme Court.
Court noted that the wife hid that the apex court had ordered a fixed timeline. She had not mentioned the virtual mode appearance.
It further observed that she had requested the personal appearance of her husband, but the court rejected her request. Instead, the court directed the virtual reconciliation.
Court found that the family court had made efforts for reconciliation. And the wife, on the contrary, did not cooperate. The court imposed a cost of Rs. 25,000 on her. The court directed the fine should be paid to the husband.
